Now for my project:

I have a 2 page layout I made using the Reach For the Stars file. I didn't go for the traditional Christmas or winter colors, I like the bright & pastel colors of the gloves! The stacked snowpeople were all chalked and pop dotted for dimension and I cut an extra standing snowman to put on my 2nd page. I used a white gel pen to draw the loopies on their sweaters and punched tiny snowflakes for their gloves. The snowflakes are from the SCAL library and I cut them from glitter paper.

I have a 2 page layout to share. Our challenge for this hop was to make a 4" border. I used the Hearty Harvest file for my border. Chanelle, her harvest and the leaves are all chalked and pop dotted to give dimension. I cut extra pumpkins and leaves to fill in around the border.

                                     Now for my project.

I used the rose file to decorate my card. I made this card for some friends that will be getting married in June. I used their color scheme, black, white, red and a touch of grey. I used a Sizzix embossing folder to emboss the white cardstock, and I used black & red half pearls to dressup the embossing.  I cut a few swirls using the swirls & flourishes from the library in SCAL. I chalked all the petals of the rose and leaves, the leaves are from a Cricut cartridge.

I put black half pearls on the ends of the embossed swirls and a larger red in the middle where the swirls meet.

It's Summer Time

For my DT project this week, I made a 2 page layout using the It's Summer Time file from Creative Kuts.

I put the door on the ice cream truck and made the steering wheel and seat with basic shapes in the SCAL program. This is a really cute file, would go great with all those popsicle and ice cream pictures!!

The paper i used is from a DCWV stack, called The Everyday Stack. You get 60 sheets of paper and it was on sale for $3.99, normally $5.00.

Sheffield Place Card

For this card I used the standing bear from the Lucky To Have You file. I cut an extra head and made it larger for the rearend and just turned the head upside down looking through the legs. The inside bear is the standing bear.

I started to make a card with flowers and a pretty sentiment or poem but the idea for this bear hit me and made me smile. I'm hoping that it will make who every recieves it smile too.

Now for my project! I love this Box Album file, I have many ideas for using it to make more projects. On the outside of my box I used purple wood grain paper and used purple paisley for the inside. To decorate my Box Album I used the Flowers file, http://www.creativekuts.com/Flowers-DF11.htm and Frannie's Fluttering Hearts, http://www.creativekuts.com/Frannies-Fluttering-Hearts-FFH329.htm With the Flowers file I welded two of the flowers together to get a eight petal flower, I cut two of these to make the one flower. I used extra flourishes from Frannie's Fluttering Hearts behind the flowers, heart and beside the photo mats. I embellished the little nodes on the flourishes with black rhinestones, they do not show very well in the pictures. I put Frannie on the front of the accordian fold album. For the album I used one inch strips of the paisley paper to put four pieces of black cardstock together and put a one inch border on all edges and I put a mat of the purple wood grain paper in the center of the black cardstock.

When I was working at school a few years ago, the ladies that I worked with started calling our boss Mother Goose. We found out that there was a Mother Goose Day, celebrated on May 1, so we made that the day we celebrated her putting up with all of us. Many of us have left the school and just last year she retired but we all still call her Mother Goose and I made this card for her. This is also my DT project for Creative Kuts for last week.

8th Birthday

My Grandson, is 8 years old! Time flies!!!  He loves playing Mario World with me! Mostly because I crack him up with my playing skills. I can only play the first 2 levels, after that, well he is just cracking up!! He got a room makeover just like his sister did, he went with a red, white and blue room. That was he party theme also. I didn't make him a red, white and blue card, I made him a Mario card and it has those colors on the card.
